Content:

Inverse problems appear in many areas of applied mathematics, wherever one is interested in determining a couse from an observed effect. Inverse problems are for instance frequently encountered in imaging techniques in medicine. Inverse problems are, in general, ill-posed and thus difficult to handle numerically. We will be concerned with theoretical analysis, regularization, and discretization of this class of problems.
